On completion of this rotation you will be able to:
- Plan and complete part-time study at postgraduate level
- Demonstrate confidence in Leadership in acute clinical settings
- Confidently demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning skills for healthcare environments
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning in clinical practice
- Complete clinical examination and diagnostics in advanced practice
- Achieve specialisation in Critical Care & Retrieval
- Confidently optimise perfusion physiology in Critical Care and Respiratory emergencies
- Acquire skills in Pharmacology and Medication Management

About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking dedicated Medical Practitioners for General Training/GP Training positions across our various departments.
As a Medical Practitioner, you will work with dynamic and supportive teams, providing comprehensive services to a diverse patient population. This position allows you to hone your clinical skills, expand your knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
- provide exceptional patient-centred care, ensuring effective communication and active involvement in treatment plans
- collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement integrated care pathways
- participate in continuing professional development activities to maintain and enhance your medical expertise
As per the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement 2025, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation as Medical Practitioner will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
