Provide the clinical continuity that turns an adult ADHD diagnosis into a stable, successful treatment journey. Full training, a defined co-management pathway and an expert multidisciplinary team are built around you.

The Opportunity

Join us at the forefront of redefining ADHD care across New South Wales.

Our patients have already completed an ADHD assessment, with diagnosis confirmed and medication initiated by a consultant psychiatrist. As a GP in our Titration & Follow-Up Clinic, you provide the clinical continuity that helps turn a diagnosis into a stable, successful treatment journey. You will monitor each patient's response, fine-tune treatment within the psychiatrist's plan, and keep care on track through to discharge.

This is a rare opportunity to step into meaningful clinical work with full training, the autonomy of remote practice, and the support of an expert multidisciplinary team. No previous ADHD treatment experience is required.

Job Details

  • Location: fully remote within New South Wales
  • Engagement: full-time employment, part-time employment or contractor options
  • Start date: immediately

About ADHD Simple

ADHD Simple is a telehealth clinic specialising in adult ADHD assessment and treatment across New Zealand and Australia. We provide clinically robust ADHD assessments and treatment plans that are affordable, accessible and compassionate.

We are looking for a GP to support our medication follow-up clinic, providing ongoing care for adults across New South Wales who have commenced ADHD treatment.

What You Will Do

Working from structured handover documentation and the psychiatrist's co-management plan, you'll:

Patient care

  • Conduct structured telehealth follow-up consultations for adults on ADHD medication pathways
  • Review treatment response, side effects and tolerability, and manage titration within the psychiatrist's treatment plan
  • Monitor patient stability, including reviewing blood pressure, heart rate and other required physical health checks
  • Escalate non-response, complex presentations or significant adverse effects to the Lead Psychiatrist
  • Support each patient through to stability and discharge to their community GP

Prescribing and documentation

  • Secure and maintain the NSW Health approval or authority applicable to each patient and prescribing pathway, including through SafeScript NSW where required
  • Review SafeScript NSW information as required before prescribing monitored medicines
  • Obtain any required PBS authority approvals for subsidised prescribing
  • Process prescription renewals promptly to avoid preventable gaps in treatment
  • Maintain clear, concise and clinically robust consultation notes
  • Prepare thorough handover documentation for patients returning to their community GP

Service and governance

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of follow-up and titration protocols
  • Practise in accordance with AHPRA standards and applicable PBS, SafeScript NSW and NSW Health Schedule 8 requirements
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings and ongoing service development
  • Support audit, quality assurance and clinical governance processes

What You Bring

  • Vocational registration as a General Practitioner (FRACGP or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration
  • Current professional indemnity insurance
  • Excellent consultation, clinical reasoning and documentation skills
  • Confidence managing medication reviews and ongoing prescribing responsibilities
  • Familiarity with digital health models and telehealth platforms
  • Strong communication, empathy and a patient-centred approach
  • Highly organised, with the ability to run an efficient clinic autonomously while contributing to a team

Desirable

  • Experience in adult ADHD treatment or stimulant prescribing
  • Experience prescribing Schedule 8 medicines and managing PBS authority requirements
  • Experience in private practice or digital health settings
  • Knowledge of neurodivergent and commonly co-occurring conditions, including autism, anxiety and depression
  • Interest in research, service development or training

These are useful but not required. Full training and support are provided.
